The Nobel Museum

MTAB takes Nobel all over the world

The jubilee exhibition, "People, Environments and Creativity" is the first major Nobel exhibition in Sweden. There are two copies of the exhibition; one is displayed in the Stock Exchange Building in Stockholm and the other is touring the world.

The Museum of World Culture

From the World to Gothenburg

In the autumn, MTAB received one of its biggest assignments of recent years. To collect almost 200 objects from 50 or so destinations all over the world for the Museum of World Culture's opening exhibitions at the end of December. Part of the assignment was also to move 300 m3 of museum specimens from the storehouse to the museum.

The Royal Armoury

”The nicer the crates, the better the treatment”

The Royal Armoury in Stockholm is a museum with complicated specimens with regard to transport. Each specimen more or less requires its own specially built crate. And loans to Swedish and international museums are widespread.

The Nordic Museum

Faiences travel around the Baltic

With the starting shot in Germany, a stopover at the Nordic Museum and finishing up in Estonia in the summer of 2004, beautiful faiences from the Baltic region have been displayed. Hundreds of expensive and fragile faiences have travelled round and been complimented with the museums' own collections.

Gothenburg Art Gallery

A quiet but unexpected experience

Six works by the French artist, Xavier Veihan, were presented at Gothenburg Art Gallery. Here, everything is displayed from a quiet sound studio to a rhinoceros weighing 100 kg. MTAB has transported the works from London and Paris.

Östergötland County Museum

Specimens all over Europe provide a picture of Bridget

On the 6th April, the exhibition about St. Bridget – The European picture of Bridget – was inaugurated at Östergötland County Museum. It is one of the museum's biggest ever exhibitions and had been preceded by four years' planning and extensive borrowings of specimens all over Europe.

Bohuslän Museum

Wants proficiency and experience

Bohuslän Museum is a regional museum with the task of documenting, preserving and telling about Bohuslän's natural and cultural heritage. There is also a new lively concert hall here for contemporary art, a well-stocked shop and a restaurant focusing on the landscape's food traditions.

Couleur Art Gallery

18 years without a scratch

Couleur Art Gallery on Nybrogatan in Stockholm began as a hobby project of the retired former office equipment magnate, Curt Enström, in the middle of the 1980s. It is now run by his grandson, Peder, who has been involved from the beginning.

Ystad Art Museum

Contemporary art requires more flexible transport

Ystad Art Museum is one of the largest art museums in Skåne. Over the three floors of the museum, there is a mixture of traditional regional artists and modern contemporary art. Contemporary art in particular makes new demands on the need for transport, according to museologist, Ben Thompson.
